OKLAHOMA CITY – A contract was awarded this month for road improvements in Kingfisher County, Sen. AJ Griffin and Rep. Mike Sanders recently announced.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project will involve reconstruction of the SH-51 bridge over Turkey Creek approximately one and one-half miles west of US-81.
Griffin (R-Guthrie) said the State Transportation Commission awarded a $5.3 million contract on the project to Manhattan Road & Bridge. The Tulsa company was the lowest of five bidders for the job, said Sanders (R-Kingfisher). This project is very important to my district not only from a public safety standpoint but from an economic standpoint as well.”
Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within eight months.
